arriving on the 9th July 2014 for another 2 week stay in this hotel since my first trip from 13th april til 27th april the hotel staff welcomed my husband and myself as old friends we were given a room on the second floor room 4007 which had an excellent view of the gardens, pool and the sea it was fantastic, mr faouzi made us especially welcome as my husband was having his birthday in the hotel on the 15th july on our first day mr faouzi asked me to confirm my husbands birthday and booked us into the a la carte restaurant for the 15th july much to our surprise on the 15th the animation and catering team presented my husband with a birthday cake after our meal, it just so happened that this ended up as a double celebration with the woman in room 2008 who was 60 on the same day, early in our holiday we got friendly with this lady and her disabled nephew and we dined together every night including the 4 of us eating together we therefore had 2 birthday cakes and lots of fun on the terrace. now that's the birthday's over now for the review which i find that i had a whole different holiday than the people who have reviewed this hotel we were never asked to write a trip advisor review for the hotel, never forced to tip any staff for anything, did not see any cracked walls or cockroaches within the hotels or for that fact bins, those who complained of having to use taxi's well im gob smacked the cost of a taxi into hammamet is about 3 dinar just over £1 sterling for 4 people in the UK you cant get on a bus or train for less than £1.50 each
